    [attachment=1:2jyq5o4b]Seatrade 1.PNG[/attachment:2jyq5o4b]

    MEDIA ALERT

S.S. UNITED STATES CONSERVANCY TO EXHIBIT AT CSM 2011

Group to exhibit at cruise trade show, conduct press conference

WHO: The S.S. United States Conservancy, a group that with the financial help of philanthropist Gerry Lenfest purchased the iconic trans-Atlantic liner S.S. United States for $3 million in February 2011 and now has 20 months to save it from the scrap yard. The organization is a 501c3 charity, so it can accept donations. The group is seeking partners and supporters for the ship's renovation.

S.S. United States was among the last of the great trans-Atlantic liners, setting a speed record in both directions on its first trip to Europe. But since 1969 the vessel has been moldering at anchor in a Philadelphia shipyard.

WHAT: S.S. United States Conservancy is exhibiting at Cruise Shipping Miami 2011, courtesy of UBM Live, the show's organizers. Besides manning a booth at the trade show, the group will conduct a press conference Wednesday morning to discuss three potential venues for the ship as a permanent mixed-use attraction: Miami, Philadelphia, Pa., or New York.

    WHERE/WHEN:
The Conservancy will occupy Cruise Shipping Miami exhibit booth #1509 from Tuesday, March 15, through Thursday, March 17.

The group will conduct a press conference Wednesday, March 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Room D229/230 on the Mezzanine of Hall D at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

EDAnywhere streamlines the interaction between medical staff, crew, and guests by utilizing a portable and paperless Electronic Health Record (EHR). By automating triage, tracking, nurse & physician documentation, and reporting, EDAnywhere creates a legible medical record, which increases the quality of the physicians' supporting documentation and eliminates time consuming manual reporting processes. EDAnywhere also provides real-time reporting of key patient metrics in order to deliver more effective outbreak management and preventative care onboard cruise ships. This seminar will address the distinctive challenges of dissimilar substrates such as engineered wood, gypsum cement screeds, radiant heated floors, sound-rated floors, and various types of concrete slabs. Both traditional methods and new technology methods will be discussed and, when applicable, related to the details in the TCNA Handbook. Wall installations, specifically in wet areas, will also be covered. Controversial issues such as mold, and questionable shower assemblies will be examined. Lastly, the intricate challenges associated with exterior applications will be discussed, to include waterproofing, freeze/thaw cycling, movement joints, flashing, and railing assemblies.
