AIDA Cruises will present innovations and newcruise experiences at ITB Berlin 2026.

From March 3rd to 5th, 2026, AIDA Cruises will be presenting excitingdevelopments, enticing travel offers, and highlights for the coming years inBerlin (Hall 25, Stand 325). In addition, AIDA will be contributing its ownideas to the high-caliber ITB conference program and will be showcasingitself to interested young professionals in the Career Hall.

Demand for cruises continues to grow: holidays at sea are trending, and more and more travelers are planning well in advance. At ITB Berlin 2026, AIDA Cruises will present its diverse cruise program through spring 2028 and offer insights into new travel experiences and innovations. These are the key topics:

30 Years of AIDA – Special Birthday Cruises 2026

In 2026, the AIDA fleet will celebrate its 30th anniversary. A highlight will be the grand birthday parade on June 7, 2026, in Hamburg: AIDAperla, AIDAsol, and AIDAprima will meet on the Elbe River and form a maritime formation, offering an emotional experience for guests on board and fans on land.

Two exclusive birthday cruises will accompany the celebrations: AIDAperla will sail to Norwegian highlights from June 6 to 13, 2026, and present an exclusive live concert by the No Angels. AIDAprima will offer spectacular fjord landscapes from June 1 to 8, 2026, accompanied by the captivating atmosphere of the Hermes House Band. As early as April 2026, the AIDA Special “Best of AIDA” on board AIDAdiva will provide further highlights – with celebrity guests such as Otto Waalkes and Stefanie Heinzmann.

AIDA Evolution – Progress for the Fleet

With AIDA Evolution, the cruise line is implementing the largest modernization program in its history. The seven ships of the Selection class are undergoing comprehensive upgrades and being prepared for the future. AIDAdiva and AIDAluna have already been modernized. AIDAbella is currently at the Chantier Naval shipyard in Marseille; her maiden voyage departs from Palma de Mallorca on March 11. The entertainment will be provided by Glasperlenspiel, Matze Knop, and godmother Eva Padberg, who will perform with her husband as Dapayk & Padberg. AIDAmar will follow in the shipyard in autumn 2026. The remaining ships of the class will also be modernized by 2028.

Travel Highlights 2026–2028

  • Northern Europe from Germany: In summer 2026, eight AIDA ships will depart from Hamburg, Kiel, and Warnemünde on approximately 290 cruises. The itineraries include Norwegian fjords, Iceland, Greenland, Great Britain, Sweden, and the Baltic Sea region. Highlights include cruises through the Geirangerfjord and the Nærøyfjord, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. New to the program is Hamina on the Gulf of Finland
  • Solar Eclipse 2026 : On August 12, 2026, guests on five AIDA ships will experience the total solar eclipse over Greenland, Iceland, and Spain. The special itineraries are perfectly tailored to this extraordinary natural phenomenon.
  • USA back on the program: In 2026, AIDA will reinstate the USA as a travel destination. AIDAdiva will depart from New York between August and November 2026 on four new itineraries that combine classic East Coast destinations with cultural highlights.
  • The 8th AIDA World Cruise 2026/2027 : The eighth AIDA World Cruise takes place over 126 days, visiting 20 countries and 43 ports. From Hamburg, the journey continues via South America and the Amazon River to the South Pacific, Australia, across the Indian Ocean, and on to South Africa – including two equator crossings.
  • Long-haul cruises 2027 : Japan, Australia, Brazil: For guests looking to escape the winter, AIDAluna offers extended winter breaks to sunny destinations from/to Hamburg, including the Canary Islands, the Caribbean, Colombia, Bermuda, and, for the first time, the Azores and Morocco with Casablanca. In the winter of 2027/2028, AIDAmar will take guests to the Azores and Morocco on a 21-day cruise; a highlight is the 48-day “Grand Winter Break Brazil” with Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. AIDAblu will sail to South Africa during the same period – with stops in Cape Town, East London, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Walvis Bay, among others. In spring 2027, AIDAstella will offer several cruises to Japan for the cherry blossom season, including a grand round trip from Yokohama with stops in Kobe, the Kammon Strait, and other cultural centers. Also in 2027, AIDA returns to Australia with special nature and city-hopping itineraries.
  • AIDA Specials : More and more travelers are looking for cruises that go beyond the classic offerings. AIDA is responding to this with a growing portfolio of themed and event cruises. These include the FESTIVAL Cruise, the Scandinavian-inspired “Midsummer @ Sea” with Samu Haber, the Bavarian-themed “O’zapft is!” cruise, and the Feelgood Cruise with Fabian Hambüchen. Presence in the ITB conference program, events at the exhibition stand and evening events

AIDA will also be present in the conference program: AIDA President Felix Eichhorn will discuss current market developments and the future of the cruise industry in the panel “Growth, Saturation, Segmentation – Cruise Industry Between Boom and Balance”. Alexander Ewig, Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales, will highlight the further development of modern sales and distribution models in the panel “The Future of Cruise Distribution – Online and Direct Channels in Focus”.

For the second time, AIDA is participating in the conneXion Night of the German Tourism Association (BTW). This established networking event brings together companies, up-and-coming talent, and industry representatives on March 3rd, underscoring AIDA’s commitment to talent development and networking within the tourism industry.

AIDA will also be represented at the Career Center of the Federal Employment Agency (Hall 4.1, Booth 300). HR managers and recruiters will be providing information there about career and entry-level opportunities both on land and on board. In addition, AIDA will be participating in the Talent Hub Pitch competition.

On Wednesday, March 4th, Touristik PR und Medien Journalisten GbR, together with AIDA Cruises, will present this year’s award winners in the categories of travel editors, travel journalists, travel bloggers, PR agents and press officers.

Throughout all days of the trade fair, the AIDA team will be presenting the AIDA world at booth 325 in hall 25 and answering questions from trade visitors about routes, ships and exclusive experiences.
