CARNIVAL CRUISE LINE MARKS FIRST EVER ‘DOUBLE FUN’ DAY WITH TWO SHIPS AT CELEBRATION KEY

Brand-New Exclusive Destination Welcomes Carnival Glory and Carnival Conquest With More Guests Enjoying the Ultimate Beach Day Together

CELEBRATION KEY, July 22, 2025 – Carnival Cruise Line welcomed two ships for the first time at Celebration Key today, its brand-new exclusive destination on Grand Bahama that opened on July 19, as more than 7,000 guests from Carnival Glory and Carnival Conquest enjoyed the ultimate beach day.

Celebration Key spans over 65 acres that feature a 1.5-mile stretch of pristine beach as well as five distinct portals that ensure Carnival guests can maximize their visit to paradise. Home to the largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean, the destination also features the largest private beach club retreat at any cruise port, the world’s largest swim-up bar and swings bar, more than 30 dining and beverage outlets and endless options for fun – from its 10-story Suncastle’s racing waterslides to a wide variety of cabana and daybed options.

“Celebration Key is already elevating the guest experience for us since we officially opened just a few days ago. Docking two ships simultaneously offers more guests the opportunity to enjoy this exceptional experience, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy everything this beautiful destination has to offer,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

At $600 million, the destination represents Carnival’s largest investment in an exclusive destination to date and reflects the cruise line’s commitment to enhancing the guest experience in The Bahamas. Part of that investment is a $100 million extension of the current pier which will enable the cruise line to accommodate up to four ships simultaneously in summer 2026. The destination will welcome two million guests annually and four million by 2028.

On Friday, Celebration Key will deliver more fun to more guests once again as Mardi Gras becomes the first ship from Carnival’s largest Excel class to dock there alongside Carnival Pride, sailing from Baltimore. Currently, 20 ships from 10 U.S. homeports offer itineraries that feature stops at Celebration Key. To see all sailings that visit the destination, click here.
