Cunard partners with Harper’s Bazaar to curate exclusive wellness programme for Queen Anne

23 January 2024 [Southampton, UK]

Cunard has teamed up with one of the world’s most iconic fashion and beauty magazines to create a holistic wellness programme exclusively for guests aboard Queen Anne.

The luxury cruise line is collaborating with Harper’s Bazaar UK – the longest established luxury fashion, beauty and lifestyle publication in the world – to design three luxurious spa packages for travellers sailing on board the new 3,000-guest Queen Anne, which is due to set sail on its maiden voyage on 3 May.

Each package within the Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea proposition comprises an enriching three-day journey focused on either detoxing, energising, or relaxing – allowing guests to arrive at their destination feeling fully rejuvenated.

The three-day programmes, each with an additional US$629 charge, will feature a curated selection of spa treatments, a range of ELEMIS products, and unique and nutritionally balanced dining options from Queen Anne’s The Pavilion Wellness Café.

The Harper’s Bazaar Detox Journey will revive and restore clean living habits and features a cryo-body detox and body sculpting treatment; the Harper’s Bazaar Energise Journey empowers guests with a mix of mindful eating, massage, and movement, including a bamboo massage; and the Harper’s Bazaar Relax Journey encompasses a collection of soothing treatments, such as a restorative salt stone massage, that will reset the nervous system.

As part of each package, guests will also receive a selection of ELEMIS products to complement the programmes.

The partnership represents the exciting next chapter of Cunard’s award-winning wellness and enrichment offering, with Queen Anne set to boast the widest selection of fitness, beauty, thermal and spa facilities so far seen on a Cunard ship.

Wellness on Queen Anne

Queen Anne’s reimagined Mareel Wellness & Beauty offering heralds a new era of wellbeing at sea.

The concept aims to deliver enriching wellness experiences that leave guests feeling radiant, from the inside out, just as its namesake – a glowing luminescence – lights the sea from within.

One of Queen Anne’s stand-out wellness spaces is The Pavilion, an idyllic open-air oasis on the top deck, which features a specially designed glass dome roof that retracts in warmer climes. Inspired by beautiful glasshouses, it is the ideal spot for getting lost in a book or enjoying a dip in the pool by day and for meeting new friends in the evening.

The multi-purpose space, designed by David Collins Studio (of Harrods and Claridge’s fame), weaves together several wellness elements, and will encompass the top deck Wellness Studio – an ideal retreat for fitness fanatics, open from sunrise to sunset – as well as The Pavilion Wellness Café, an alternative dining experience that will boast a colourful mix of seasonal, mouth-watering, and nutritious dishes.

Acclaimed architect Martin Francis – who supported with engineering the iconic Louvre Pyramid in Paris – led a redesigning of the glass dome, which will now feature a refined arched steel frame to maximise height and light in the space as it stretches up and aft to create the new Wellness Studio.

The spa’s tranquil sanctuary is also where guests will enjoy a variety of uniquely crafted experiences, whether it’s experiencing one of the first cryo-body treatments at sea or trying out the Himalayan salt sauna and cold room to renew the mind, body, and soul.

Queen Anne’s Wellness Café

The Pavilion Wellness Café will cater for breakfast, lunch, and daytime diners, celebrating the vibrancy of plant-powered foods and sustainably sourced meat, dairy and fish options.

Queen Anne will also boast the widest selection of low and no-alcohol drinks so far found on a Cunard ship, with The Pavilion Wellness Café set to offer an array of feelgood smoothies, shots, and cold-pressed juices.
