Hamburg, April 25, 2024. Is everything over on Ash Wednesday? Not on board the Mein Schiff fleet! With the Jeckliner, TUI Cruises extends the time every year for all fans who still haven’t had enough. And even before the almost fully booked “Jeckliner 4” sets sail from Kiel, one thing is clear: the crazy hustle and bustle is entering the next round with the “Jeckliner 5”. On September 19, 2025, the floating fool’s stronghold will start from Palma for a 4-day costume party of superlatives and transform the Mediterranean into a sea of Jecken. The “Jeckliner 5” can now be booked.
With Rhenish top acts on the Mediterranean
As headliners, guests can expect the Jeckliner-proven bands the Höhner with great evergreens like “Viva Colonia” or “If not now, when then?” and their new hit “Prinzessin” as well as the Paveier with theirs Hits “Leev Marie” and “I han de music ordered” are happy. Guido Cantz, who already created the best carnival atmosphere on board at “Jeckliner 1” in 2019 with his wordplay, will be there again as moderator and speaker. Singer and songwriter Björn Heuser, who is known, among other things, for his own concert format “Kölle singt”, is celebrating the Jeckliner premiere. The other top acts Tom Gerhardt as “Caretaker Krause”, the ventriloquist Tim Becker, the speaker Ingrid Kühne and the bands Rabaue, Scharmöör and Dröpkes will transform the various stages on Mein Schiff 2 into a floating fool’s party.
A lot of tried and tested, but also many new highlights
In addition to many concerts with music to sing along to and sway to, after the great success of the speaker’s morning pint in 2023, there will also be an attack on the laughing muscles at the “Jeckliner 5”. The motto evenings are completely new for the fifth edition of the Jeckliner – and there will be three of them: While the Paveier will perform in addition to their concerts at the motto evening “Spain Olé – Senorito and Seniorita” after setting off from Tarragona, Spain , the Höhner will also be performing claimed the motto “Princesses and Animals” for her appearances on board.
The funny crusaders are invited to both theme evenings to dress up appropriately and use their creativity to bring the theme of the respective evening to life. All fans of Cologne sing-along concerts can look forward to an absolute world premiere: the biggest sing-along concert on the high seas. Almost 2,900 guests on Mein Schiff 2 will form a huge choir together with Björn Heuser and the horizon in view. They will sing well-known and popular dialect songs, creating emotional moments that touch the soul and will be remembered forever. The program of the floating fool’s stronghold is complemented by autograph sessions with the artists and exclusive creative workshops on matching hat and jacket designs.
