Kuzey Esener becomes Director Communications at TUI Cruises
Hamburg/Hanover, June 21, 2024. On August 1, 2024, Kuzey Esener will become the new Director of Communications at TUI Cruises in Hamburg. Until now, he has headed the Corporate Media Relations department of the TUI Group and is responsible for press and PR at the group headquarters on all business and financial topics, strategy and M&A as well as all overarching group topics in the areas of sustainability, HR and IT. In his new role, he will remain connected to the TUI Group and the global communications team when he moves from the parent company to the Hamburg joint venture.
TUI Cruises is the successful cruise joint venture of TUI and Royal Caribbean, in which both partners each hold a 50 percent stake. The Mein Schiff fleet and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises with luxury and expedition ships such as MS EUROPA and MS EUROPA 2 sail under the umbrella of the Hamburg shipping company. The British shipping company Marella Cruises also belongs to the TUI Group.
In his new role, Kuzey Esener will report to Wybcke Meier, CEO of TUI Cruises GmbH. At the same time, he will remain a member of the global TUI Communications Leadership Team under the direction of Thomas Ellerbeck, member of the Group Executive Committee of the TUI Group.
