Hamburg, March 17, 2026. Those who want to celebrate the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display off the coast of Madeira, or who prefer to swap the winter blues for sunshine in Jamaica, Lisbon, or Cape Town, will experience unforgettable moments on the Mein Schiff fleet in winter 2027/28. This season, Mein Schiff 1 to Mein Schiff 7, as well as Mein Schiff Relax, will sail the world’s oceans, offering both returning guests and first-time cruisers unique travel experiences. Diverse destinations such as Barbados and the ABC islands in the Caribbean, Stockholm, Bergen, Cape Town, and Thailand will be on the itinerary. Caribbean feeling on Mein Schiff 1, Mein Schiff 3, and Mein Schiff 4:
Mein Schiff 1 will be sailing in the Caribbean during winter 2027/28. Her journey begins with a 12- or 19-day cruise from Bayonne (New York), USA, via Miami and Puerto Rico towards the ABC islands. From/to La Romana, the cruise ship will call at destinations including St. Thomas, Tortola, and St. Maarten. Mein Schiff 3 will sail 14-day cruises from/to La Romana and Montego Bay during the winter. After leaving her summer itinerary, she will depart from Palma (Mallorca) towards Central America. From there, she will visit destinations such as Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia, before returning to Gran Canaria in the spring and then, via Morocco, back to Palma (Mallorca) in the Mediterranean. Mein Schiff 4, the third ship in the fleet, will also spend the 2027/28 winter season in the Caribbean. Here it sails from/to La Romana in the Dominican Republic as well as from/to Bridgetown (Barbados) to destinations such as St. Lucia, Martinique and Antigua.
Long time (no) sea – The Mein Schiff 2 starts its winter season from/to Northern Germany.
Guests who want to embark on a cruise from Germany can look forward to voyages from/to Bremerhaven and Kiel during the winter season. From there, it will sail to the Caribbean, the Canary Islands, and the North Cape. Its first voyage includes destinations such as Spain, Portugal, and France, followed by a North Cape cruise. During Advent, the ship will visit atmospheric destinations like Stockholm, Bergen, and Ålesund from/to Kiel. Over New Year’s Eve, guests can admire the impressive fireworks display off the coast of Madeira. Another highlight of the Mein Schiff 2 is the extended Caribbean cruise. This 35-day voyage departs from Bremerhaven, visiting Gran Canaria, nine Caribbean islands, and finally returning to Northern Europe via Madeira. Special voyages for those who want to enjoy plenty of time at sea.

From November 2027, the Mein Schiff 5 offers the ideal opportunity to travel to numerous destinations on the African continent for the first time throughout the entire winter. On its 14-day voyages, it sails regularly between Cape Town and Mauritius. Guests can discover places like Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), Durban, Richards Bay, and the impressive volcanic island of La Réunion, as well as the coastal region of Namibia on transatlantic voyages.

From mid-October, Mein Schiff 6 will begin its voyage from the port of Palma (Mallorca). From there, the route leads first through the Strait of Gibraltar and on to the impressive volcanic island of Lanzarote. The ship then sets course for Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, before crossing the Atlantic and continuing to South Africa. Afterwards, Mein Schiff 6 continues its journey towards its next major cruising area: Asia. On the two-week cruises, guests can discover an impressive variety of Asian metropolises and cultures. These include Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam. In the spring, Mein Schiff 6 continues its exploration of the Far East, calling at further exciting ports as far as Hong Kong .
Setting sail for the Canary Islands with Mein Schiff 7 and Mein Schiff Relax:
Both Mein Schiff 7 and Mein Schiff Relax will depart from Hamburg at the end of October 2027, heading for the Canary Islands. Mein Schiff 7 begins its journey with a diverse itinerary along the European Atlantic coast. It will first stop in charming ports in France, Spain, and Portugal, where guests can enjoy Western European flair, historic old towns, and culinary highlights. From there, the ship will head towards its main cruising area, the islands of the Atlantic: Gran Canaria, Madeira, Tenerife, and Fuerteventura. From November to March, guests on the 7-day cruises can expect a particularly varied island-hopping experience. In addition to classics like Lanzarote, La Gomera, and La Palma, destinations such as Morocco, the Azores, and Cape Verde are also on the itinerary.
