MSC POESIA ENTRA IN BACINO: AL VIA IL RESTYLING IN VISTA DEL DEBUTTO IN ALASKA
– MSC Crociere ha annunciato oggi il prossimo ingresso di nel bacino di carenaggio presso il Palumbo Malta Shipyard, a Malta. Si tratta di un importante momento che dimostra l’impegno della Compagnia per migliorare l’esperienza degli ospiti a bordo della sua flotta.
è la seconda nave della classe Musica a essere sottoposta a un importante restyling presso il cantiere navale di Malta, dopo la gemella , che ha completato i lavori a dicembre.
Al termine dei lavori, ospiterà a bordo l’MSC Yacht Club, l’esclusivo concept di ‘nave nella nave’ con 69 suite eleganti, servizi privati e maggiordomo disponibile 24 ore su 24. La nave presenterà inoltre due nuovi ristoranti tematici: , autentica steakhouse in stile americano, e , ispirato all’Estremo Oriente, dove gli ospiti potranno gustare sushi preparato con maestria e piatti asiatici autentici e raffinati.
Il progetto comprenderà inoltre una MSC Aurea Spa completamente ridisegnata e la MSC Gym powered by Technogym®, con barberia per gentleman, diversi studi per allenamenti, un’area Aurea all’aperto e il Top 15 Exclusive Solarium.
Si prevede che i lavori di rinnovamento saranno completati ad aprile, in tempo per la stagione di debutto in Alaska.
Questo progetto di restyling di fa parte del programma di aggiornamento e refitting più ampio intrapreso da MSC Crociere nell’ultimo decennio.
Il progetto è interamente progettato e gestito internamente dal Dipartimento Tecnico di MSC Crociere e sarà realizzato presso il Palumbo Malta Shipyard, un hub strategico per la manutenzione della flotta MSC e per progetti di ristrutturazione su larga scala in Europa.
All’inizio di questo mese, MSC Crociere ha annunciato l’estensione del rinomato MSC Yacht Club a e : una volta completati questi interventi, tutte e quattro le navi della classe Musica — e — offriranno a bordo l’esclusivo MSC Yacht Club entro il 2027.
Da maggio a settembre 2026, offrirà itinerari di 7 notti in Alaska con partenza da Seattle, toccando alcune delle destinazioni più iconiche della regione. Nell’estate 2026/2027 la nave sarà operativa tra partenze da Miami con scali in Giamaica, Colombia, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curaçao e Belize
- – Nota come la capitale della pesca, offre opportunità di pescare o assaggiare salmone selvaggio e ammirare le aquile calve. Il quartiere storico Creek Street ospita negozi e gallerie artigianali, mentre la città è famosa per le collezioni di autentici totem.
- – Prima destinazione crocieristica di proprietà indigena, immersa in 23.000 acri di spiagge e foresta pluviale. Offre la zip line più lunga al mondo, piattaforme per osservare orsi bruni, whale watching, danze tradizionali, lezioni di cucina, kayak e molto altro. Comprende museo, negozi locali in un ex impianto di lavorazione del salmone del 1912 e ristoranti con specialità di mare e birre artigianali.
- – Uno spettacolare fiordo che conduce ai ghiacciai Sawyer, con scogliere alte 900 metri, cascate, colonie di foche e possibilità di avvistare orsi. Dopo 27 miglia, l’itinerario rivela i ghiacciai dalle intense sfumature blu.
- – Capitale dello Stato, accessibile solo via mare o aria. Offre paesaggi montani, siti storici e l’esperienza di cercare l’oro come ai tempi della corsa del 1880. Dal porto parte la funivia Goldbelt Tram, che porta a 550 metri sul Monte Roberts.
- – Capitale della Columbia Britannica, rinomata per i giardini colorati, l’architettura in stile britannico (tra cui il Parlamento e l’Empress Hotel) e la ricca fauna marina. È la città con la più alta concentrazione di ristoranti in Canada.
Al termine della stagione in Alaska, la nave sarà riposizionata per offrire crociere caraibiche andata e ritorno da Miami durante l’inverno 2026–2027, con scali presso diverse destinazioni, tra cui Giamaica, Colombia, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curaçao e Belize.
MSC POESIA BEGINS MAJOR REFURBISHMENT AHEAD OF THE SHIP’S ALASKA DEBUT
- Refurbishment of MSC Poesia has officially begun as the ship enters dry dock in Malta ahead of her Alaska debut
- Upgrades include the addition of MSC Yacht Club, and enhanced dining, wellness, and fitness venues

The enhancements will introduce new premium spaces and experiences, combining elevated comfort with lively social venues, ahead of MSC Poesia’s debut season in Alaska in May 2026.
MSC Poesia is the second ship from the line’s MSC Musica Class to undergo a major refurbishment at the Maltese shipyard, following sister ship MSC Magnifica, which left the shipyard in December and is currently sailing on the MSC World Cruise 2026.
When the refurbishments are complete, MSC Poesia will feature an MSC Yacht Club, the brand’s exclusive “ship-within-a-ship” concept, offering 69 elegantly appointed suites, private amenities, and 24-hour butler service. Additionally, the updates include two new specialty dining venues – Butcher’s Cut, an authentic American-style steakhouse, and Kaito Sushi Bar, inspired by the Far East where guests can savor expertly crafted sushi and exquisite authentic Asian dishes.
The enhancement will include a newly designed MSC Aurea Spa and MSC Gym powered by Technogym®, complete with Gentleman’s Barber, various workout studios, an outdoor Aurea area and Top 15 Exclusive Solarium.
Refurbishment work is expected to be completed in April, in time for MSC Poesia’s Alaska season.

The refurbishment of MSC Poesia forms part of the most extensive upgrade and refitting program by MSC Cruises in the past decade.
The project is fully designed and managed in-house by MSC Cruises’ Technical Department and will be carried out at Palumbo Malta Shipyard, a strategic hub for MSC Cruises’ fleet maintenance and large-scale refurbishment projects in Europe.
Earlier this month, MSC Cruises announced the expansion of its renowned MSC Yacht Club to two additional ships, MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra. Once complete, these latest enhancements will mean all four vessels in the Musica class, MSC Poesia, MSC Magnifica, MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra, will have been upgraded to feature MSC Yacht Club.
From May through September 2026, MSC Poesia will offer 7-night Alaska itineraries from Seattle, sailing to some of the region’s most iconic destinations.
Following her Alaska season, the ship will reposition to offer roundtrip Caribbean sailings from Miami during Winter 2026–2027, visiting destinations including Jamaica, Colombia, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curaçao, and Belize. MSC Poesia will then return to Alaska in summer 2027 offering guests the opportunity to visit spectacular destinations including Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, and Juneau (Alaska), along with Victoria (British Columbia, Canada).
