NEPTUN WERFT delivers Viking Haki

Rostock/Basel, 29.10.2026 –

NEPTUN WERFT has officially handed over the river cruise ship Viking Haki to the cruise company Viking in Basel. Haki is already the sixth vessel delivered to Viking this year. The technical handover by the project management team had previously taken place on 27 October 2026 in Lelystad, Netherlands.

With a length of 135 metres, Viking Haki is part of the Longship Series. The vessel features 95 double cabins and can accommodate up to 190 passengers. It will operate on the Rhine, offering cruises in the Netherlands as well as voyages between Amsterdam and Budapest.

The vessels of the Longship Series are equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that combines diesel engines and batteries. NEPTUN WERFT has been building this series since 2010.

“This year, we will deliver the 75th vessel to Viking. It is a remarkable series, and we would like to thank Viking for the trustful cooperation. Our joint journey continues: a total of eight vessels are firmly scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028,” said Stephan Happe, Managing Director of NEPTUN WERFT.
