Princess Cruises Unveils 2027-28 Australia Summer Season with Three Ships Homeporting Down Under

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (November 26, 2025) – Princess Cruises, one of the best-known names in cruising, today announced details of its much-anticipated 2027-28 Australian summer season of cruising. The summer season will feature three Princess ships sailing in the region: Royal Princess, Grand Princess and Sapphire Princess.
On sale today, these three cruise ships will offer unforgettable voyages to New Zealand (Aotearoa), full circumnavigations of the Australian continent, and South Pacific escapes to idyllic destinations like Fiji and Vanuatu. Featuring 79 total departures, across 64 unique itineraries, ranging from quick three-day getaways to epic 43-day explorations, there is something for everyone – from the seasoned cruise traveller to families experiencing their first cruise getaway.
The summer season will also introduce an incredible 94-day Circle Pacific exploration on Grand Princess with flexible embarkation options from many Australian and New Zealand homeports before heading across the South Pacific, up towards the North American coast heading to Alaska, before venturing across the Pacific Ocean to Japan and Southeast Asia.
In addition, Princess returns to Western Australia once again in 2027 with Sapphire Princess being homeported in Fremantle, making Princess the only large premium cruise line to homeport a ship in Western Australia.
With roundtrip options from Fremantle, voyages to South Australia, and itineraries north to Indonesia of varying lengths, there will be ample opportunities for Princess guests to experience the spectacular Sapphire Princess.
“Princess Cruises has long welcomed travelers from across the globe to experience the stunning beauty, wildlife, and culture of Australia—and this season is no exception,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer. “We’re thrilled to bring local and international guests together to share world-class dining, award-winning entertainment, and unforgettable adventures both onboard and ashore in this magnificent part of the world.”
Each of Princess’ 2027-28 summer season cruises will include a range of excursions, along with late nights ashore and overnights in stunning locations including Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bali (Benoa).
In addition, 20 awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage Sites will be featured as part of Princess’ 2027-28 summer season, including The Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Opera House (Sydney), The Ningaloo Coast (Exmouth), Singapore Botanical Gardens, Jomon Prehistoric Sites (Japan) and The Greater Blue Mountains (Australia).
