The 2025 sailings to Norway were sold out in record time. Now SeaDream Yacht Club is coming back in 2026 – with more than twice as many sailings.

Oslo, 17 November 2023

SeaDream Yacht Club was started by Atle Brynestad in 2001, and is the only cruise line that is still owned and operated from Norway. The family-owned company’s small and exclusive ships have several times been named the world’s best in a number of different categories.

In the next few years, they will also be a frequent guest along the Norwegian coast.

– There is no better way to experience Norway than on small ships, where you decide the pace and what the days will contain. It is as far away from mass tourism as it is possible to get, both for the guests on board and the places we visit, says owner and managing director Atle Brynestad of SeaDream Yacht Club.

– Fantastic demand

When SeaDream launched a handful of sailings to Norway in 2025, the cabins were torn away. More than two years before the first departure from Oslo, the sailings were sold out.

The Norwegian cruise line now more than doubles the number of sailings. In 2026, SeaDream will sail both from Oslo, Bergen and Tromsø throughout the summer, from May to the end of August.

– We see a clear trend where travelers want unique, more personal experiences. We also see that with our Norway sailings. The demand has been absolutely fantastic across all markets, says Brynestad.

The new sailings for 2026 vary between 7 and 11 days. Rosendal, Vik, Olden, Ålesund, Rørvik, Måløy, Kalvåg, Reine and Svolvær are among the places that will be regularly visited by the SeaDream and guests from all over the world in the coming years.

Several of the places SeaDream stays at the dock until midnight or overnight, so that the around 100 guests do not have to rush back to the ships.

– We are extra proud to bring guests from all over the world here to Norway. We also hope for a good response from Norwegian guests. This is a completely new and completely unique way of experiencing one’s own country, says Brynestad – who himself has helped plan the sailings for both 2025 and 2026.

Named the world’s best

In both 2025 and 2026, the exclusive SeaDream II will sail along the Norwegian coast. The ship, which was recently upgraded for almost NOK 150 million, was named the world’s best cruise ship in the World Cruise Awards as recently as October .

On board, just over 100 guests can enjoy award-winning service from approximately as many crew members, 5-star dining experiences, wellness and attention to detail in elegant, relaxed surroundings.
