A shining farewell under the stars: AIDA Cruises crowns the Kiel Week 2025
June 30, 2025 – With the spectacular closing production “At Home Under the Stars,” AIDA Cruises, a long-standing partner of Kiel Week, once again provided a brilliant highlight in 2025. On the evening of June 29, the Kiel Fjord was transformed into a stage of light, sound, and emotion: An impressive drone and laser show, accompanied by a colorful fireworks display and light displays on the striking shipyard crane of German Naval Yards, formed the crowning conclusion of the nine-day summer and sailing festival.
Hundreds of thousands of visitors gathered around the fjord to experience the finale live. Starting at 10 p.m., torch-lit swimmers used their smartphones to get the audience in the mood for the grand finale, which began at 11 p.m. and provided goosebumps with a light show accompanied by music.
AIDA also presented itself on land with its own holiday world, interactive activities and maritime hospitality – in keeping with this year’s motto “A home for all”.
