MEYER WERFT costruirà un’altra nave da crociera per Carnival Cruise Line
MEYER WERFT e Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), la più grande compagnia di crociere al mondo, hanno raggiunto un accordo per costruire un’altra moderna nave da crociera per Carnival Cruise Line. La consegna della nave gemella della Carnival Jubilee, consegnata nel 2023, è prevista per il 2027.
MEYER WERFT to build another cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Line

MEYER WERFT and Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world’s largest cruise company, have reached an agreement to build another modern cruise ship for Carnival Cruise Line. The sister ship to the Carnival Jubilee, which was delivered in 2023, is scheduled for delivery in 2027.
“We are very pleased that the partnership between the MEYER Group and Carnival Corporation will continue with this new order,” says Bernd Eikens, CEO MEYER Group. Since 2018, MEYER WERFT and MEYER TURKU have built nine cruise ships with LNG propulsion on a joint technical platform for four cruise lines in the Carnival Corporation portfolio. The new ship will also be built on this platform and, with a length of around 344 metres and a size of approx. 180,000 GT, will offer space for more than 6,400 guests.
“This order is a clear sign that the cruise market has recovered and that there is great demand for sea voyages,” adds Thomas Weigend, Chief Sales Officer of the MEYER Group.

The new order enables the shipyard to focus on the longer term and makes a decisive contribution to securing jobs locally and at partner companies. MEYER WERFT’s order book now includes five cruise ships, one research vessel and the steel construction for four offshore converter platforms.
