Spa Holidays Afloat

Spa Holiday Afloat

The word SPA comes from the latin Sanitas Per Aquam which means ‘health through water’ so it’s not surprising that floating in the midst of a huge ocean or on a tranquil river should be considered one of the ultimate spa experiences.

All modern cruise ships have luxurious spas with thermal suites, where you can relax on heated mosaic beds, or in the sauna or steam rooms. You can be massaged with hot rocks or bamboo, have facials that promise to leave you looking like a new person and body treatments that wrap, scrub and rub. The only hard part is deciding which treatment to choose!

Spa holidays afloat range from a relaxing river cruise down the Amazon in Brazil or days spent basking in the glamour of the Med, to visiting the picture postcard islands of Caribbean or taking in the grandeur of the Panama Canal. So why not treat yourself to a bit of pampering whilst seeing the world? Discover a range of spa cruising options at the show and just think, in a little while that could be you relaxing in complete tranquil bliss at sea?

Adventure Cruising

Adventure CruisingBelieve it or not, cruising 21st-century style can be packed with adventure, visiting places it?s hard to reach on a land-based holiday. You can get close to wildlife in the Galapagos, discover remote communities in Greenland and the Falklands, spot polar bears in the Arctic or get your chills in Antarctica, walking through penguin colonies and looking out for passing whales.

You can cruise the challenging Northwest Passage between Greenland and Canada, sail around Borneo or the Kimberley in Australia, or venture into the Russian Far East. Or how about taking a voyage to Alaska for fun activities such as zip-wiring, hiking on glaciers, bear or whale-watching expeditions?

These cruises are a real adventure. And they?re a great way to learn as well, as expedition cruises have biologists, geologists and naturalists on board to talk about the flora and fauna of the places being visited. Fancy exploring the most remote parts of the world or those places untouched by tourism? Then head down to the show next weekend to plan your next adventure?
